Cone’s Zapier integration unlocks powerful automation possibilities for your proposal and client management workflows. This guide provides detailed information on the triggers and actions supported by the integration, allowing you to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

Integrating Zapier with Cone

  1. Go to the Integrations section within Cone’s settings

  2. Connect your Cone account to Zapier

  3. Set up Zaps using the desired Triggers and Actions

Connect Cone to hundreds of other apps with Zapier

Zapier lets you connect Cone to 2,000+ other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible

Each Zap has one app as the Trigger, where your information comes from and which causes one or more Actions in other apps, where your data gets sent automatically

How to connect Cone to Zapier?

  1. Log in to your Zapier account or create a new account

  2. Navigate to "My Apps" from the top menu bar

  3. Now click on "Connect a new account..." and search for "Cone"

  4. Use your credentials to connect your Cone account to Zapier

  5. Once that's done you can start creating an automation! Use a pre-made Zap or create your own with the Zap Editor. Creating a Zap requires no coding knowledge and you'll be walked step-by-step through the setup

Triggers

Cone supports various triggers that initiate a Zapier action. These triggers include essential fields necessary for the action to be executed successfully

Proposal triggers

  • Proposal Created: Triggered when a proposal is initially saved. Includes proposal base fields such as ref_id, name, client_name, services, estimated_contract_value, url, and more

  • Proposal Published: Occurs when a proposal is published. In addition to proposal base fields, it includes published_date and accept_deadline

  • Proposal Accepted: Activated when a proposal is accepted by all signatories. Adds accepted_date to the proposal base fields

  • Proposal Lost: Sent if a proposal is marked as lost, including a lost_reason

  • Proposal Revoked: Triggered when a proposal is revoked, with an added revoked_date

Client triggers

  • Client Created: Occurs when a new client is added. Contains client base fields including type, entity_type, business_name, contacts, and more

  • Client Updated: Activated when client details are updated. Includes all client base fields plus updated_date

  • Client Converted to Customer: Triggered when a prospect is converted to a customer, using client base fields

Invoice triggers

  • Invoice Created: Occurs when a new invoice is generated. Includes invoice_date, due_date, terms, client details, and other invoice base fields

  • Invoice Updated: Triggered when an invoice is updated, with all invoice base fields

  • Invoice Paid: Sent when an invoice is marked as paid, including payment_mode details

  • Invoice Canceled: Activated when an invoice is canceled


Actions

Cone’s actions through Zapier allow for client and contact creation within the Cone ecosystem based on the type and specifics of the entity

Client actions

  • Create Business Customer/Prospect: Includes fields for Business name and a list of Contact s

  • Create Individual Customer/Prospect: Fields include First name, Middle name, Last name, and Contact details

Contact action

  • Create Contact: Crucial fields such as First name, Last name, Email, and Phone enable the addition of a new contact to a client or prospect in Cone.
