How-To: Requesting Payment Details From Client

Cone makes it easy to collect and manage your clients’ payment methods directly from the client workspace. Here’s how it works

  • Under the client’s settings, navigate to the Payment collection section to view and manage existing payment methods

  • Need to request a new payment method (for example, if a client’s card is expiring)? Simply click Add payment method

  • You’ll have two options:

    • Copy link: Generate a secure link to share with your client, allowing them to add their payment details

    • Send email to client: Send a customizable email directly from Cone with a link for your client to provide new payment information

  • You can specify which payment methods to allow—credit/debit card, direct debit, or both—before sharing the link or sending the email

  • Once your client submits their details, the new payment method appears automatically in their profile, ready to be set as the default for future transactions
